How to set a PIN for virtual card and withdraw from ATM (Android/Google Pay)

There is a way of adding a PIN to your Google account.
It turns out that this is then used in Google Pay for the virtual card.

It's been proven to work using a contactless ATM. These may or may not be easily accessible, depending on where you live (not so much in UK, better in at least parts of Europe).
I'm not aware of anyone having used the PIN to authorise a point of sale transaction, but all suggestions are that it will.

It's quite easy to set. I've done it on my account. Click the link in step 1 under the Create a PIN heading.

When paying with the card, depending on the value and number of transactions, you may be prompted to enter the PIN code to authorise the payment. If you have not set up Google Pay PIN code, kindly do so. You may follow the steps on this link: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6164209

OK people, one of the life mysteries solved successfully. Virtual card with PIN will allow you to withdraw money from ATM. Just tested:



Reiffesen Bank in Split, Croatia. If it works here, it will work anywhere.



Standard ATM but one that accepts NFC cards.



Kinesis card recognized immediately



Enter PIN. But which one? The PIN created in your own Google profile. Very easy to do, works with Google pay.




Final screen before dispensing a money. €2.92 fee imposed by the Reiffesien bank. I guess every other bank would have that except for than Baanx ATMs.

That's all. Accept it or decline it but fiat (cash) is available from Kinesis debit card!
