One of the reasons for setting up the forum was to get away from the scammers on Telegram.
Better controls are available within the forum and clear badges can be assigned to forum members that have specific roles.
As an example of controls, there are auto-checks for new members against spam databases.
Badges
Badges are assigned by admins and can't be set up by users themselves.
This makes convincing impersonation much more difficult.
Here are some examples of badges that are in use:

- The Kinesis badges identify roles of people within the Kinesis team.
- Staff members work for Kinesis. This should provide additional assurance in communications.
- Moderators are able to keep the forum tidy - posts, users. They may or may not be Staff.
- Administrators are able to configure elements of the forum.
