Q: Regarding Andrew's comment that 'Commercials positioned Long to take advantage of Speculators net short' when the Futures COT clearly says Commercials are net Short and Specs are net Long ?
Eg:
Futures Only Reports (dea_fut_xls_2023)
SILVER - COMMODITY EXCHANGE INC.
Date Commercials Non-Commercial (Specs)
Long Short Long Short
11-21-2023 51271 92718 54004 26089
11-14-2023 45551 77185 50291 27893
11-7-2023 42249 72971 47196 28943
Please explain the data basis for the comment 'Commercials are long to take advantage of Spec Shorts'.
thanks very much, Warren/Winnipeg, MB, Canada
