Kinesis has server redundancy across several regions that covers the KM applications and blockchain nodes, so is extremely unlikely to experience an all systems down situation.
What is conceivable however, is a situation where groups of users lose connectivity with those systems eg prolonged internet/infrastructure outages in a region.
In which case, it would be useful for each participant to be able to easily record the relevant information should they need to contact Kinesis without having access to their account.
It's suggested to make a record of key information to cover this eventuality.
